Sensei Zizi brings a rich multicultural perspective to her teachings, blending her Chinese heritage, upbringing in Kyoto, Japan, and international education. Her expertise in Gongbi floral painting, Ikebana flower arrangement, and Kitsuke Kimono dressing forms the foundation of SEN’s offerings, ensuring an authentic and immersive experience for our guests.

The name SEN embodies the essence of Ikebana, which lies in profound connection. Symbolized by the Kanji character 千, meaning ‘one thousand,’ SEN is rooted in the concept of ‘Yuan Fen’ (缘分), signifying the natural affinity or 'fateful luck' in the universe that connects us. The poem conveys that a thousand rebirths take place for a single encounter to happen, emphasizing the importance of cherishing every connection, whether it be with strangers, lovers, or family.
