Our Founder

Zizi Sensei encountered flowers when she was just 3 years old while drawing in the garden of her childhood home in Japan, where she was born and raised to parents of Chinese heritage.

At age 9, upon visiting her mother's hometown Chengdu, Zizi Sensei fell in love with Gongbi - the traditional Chinese art of painting flowers in intricate, loving detail. From then on every year, she would visit her mother’s hometown - spending endless hours painting by the lotus pond.

That stillness never left her.

Years later, she moved through the worlds of fine arts, luxury, and consulting — Christie’s, Chanel, Deloitte — across New York, London, and Tokyo. Yet beneath every role, the same quiet devotion remained.

SEN is its expression. Rooted in heritage, shaped by a life lived across cultures, and offered as an invitation — to slow down, to connect, and to find your own moment of stillness.

“Ikebana is an extension of my meditation, with flowers and the seasons. A little zen oasis I hope to share with all of you.”

- Zizi Sensei
